Cause No. 2008C121040; Charles Tate v. Discovery Property & Casualty Company and JI Specialty Services Inc.; In the 225th Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas. The Shaw Cowart LLP represented Charles Tate in claims against an insurance company that provided Worker’s Compensation coverage. Defendant insurance company acted in bad faith by denying certain Worker’s Compensation benefits to Mr. Tate. A confidential settlement was reached.

Cause No. D412-CV-2008-00116; Shaw Cowart LLP Attorney Ethan Shaw, as co-counsel, successfully represented the Estate of Alfred Gonzales v. St. Vincent Hospital, et al. (Cause No. D412-CV-2008-00116) in the Fourth Judicial District Court of San Miguel County, New Mexico in a medical malpractice case where the plaintiff allegedly incurred bed sores as a result of negligent treatment at a hospital.

Case No. 1-10-CV-715-SS. Shaw Cowart LLP Attorneys Ethan Shaw and Matt Riley successfully defended and obtained a take nothing verdict for our client, the operator of an 18-wheeler truck involved in a collision with an auto in Austin, Texas, against claims by the driver of an auto involved in the collision. The suit for negligence sought damages in the amount of $265,000 for injuries to the neck and back of plaintiff. (Giovanna Deleon v. Cause No. D-1-GN-08-004590; Sarah Ann Wixted and Christopher Lee Wixted v. Margaret M. Thompson, M.D. and Columbia/St. David’s Health Care System L.P., in the 345th Judicial District Court of Travis County, Texas. The Shaw Cowart LLP represented the Wixteds in an action for medical malpractice in delivery of a newborn diagnosed with cerebral palsy. A confidential settlement was obtained.

March Networks Corporation; In the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas; Lufkin Division.
